Study skills for kids: writing papers and essays

Hey kids, in this ‘Study Skills’ series of videos, we’re going to learn, step-by-step, the best approaches to become a studying powerhouse.

The ninth step towards this goal is mastering research paper- and essay-writing.

Many of you will have had that sinking feeling when you realise you can’t put off that 2,000-word paper off any longer, or perhaps it’s even long-overdue. What do you do? How do you break down the task into a manageable process?

Here, Crash Course YouTube channel host Thomas Frank, tackles the writing task that many students find boring or overwhelming (or both), and outlines some of the best strategies to implement – including incorporating a ‘pre-writing’ phase, and avoiding the common pitfall of getting stuck at the research stage.
