A port mortem could not determine the cause of death of a 30-year-old man who died while spearfishing with a friend off the coast of Larnaca, it was reported on Monday.
The Cyprus News Agency said the autopsy conducted by state pathologist Nicolas Charalamnbous was inconclusive as to the cause of death of Marios Patsalos.
Tissue and other samples have been collected for further tests, the report said.
Patsalos had gone missing on Saturday while fishing with a friend in the sea area near Larnaca airport.
He was found dead on Sunday at a depth of 18 metres by army divers.
