Coronavirus: Police hand out 22 fines for violations

Police booked 18 individuals and four business owners in the last 24 hours for violating coronavirus measures, dishing out fines ranging from 500-4,000 euros.

A total of 2,528 checks were conducted islandwide.

In Nicosia police carried out 858 checks and handed out fines to one person citizen and two establishment owners. In Limassol they conducted 192 checks and booked six individuals.

In Larnaca police carried out 564 checks and booked one person and two business owners, while in Paphos they carried out 186 checks and fined three people.

In the Famagusta area, 386 check were done and seven people fined, while in the Morphou area 57 checks were carried out without anyone being booked.
