Philippos Soseilos, Partner In charge of Business Consulting has been elected as the new CEO of PwC Cyprus and will take office on January 1, 2022, for a four-year term. He succeeds Evgenios Evgeniou, who served as PwC Cyprus CEO for the past 10 years, over 2012-21, having successfully completing two terms – the maximum number of times that someone from the organisation may hold the position.

Soseilos started his career with PwC in 1989 and was admitted to partnership on July 1, 2000. He has over 30 years of experience as a Business Consultant in a broad range of business fields, with a focus on strategy issues and the successful implementation of business and digital transformation, both in Cyprus and abroad. He was a member of the Management Board of PwC Cyprus for 13 years and Head of People for eight years.

Soseilos, who holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, is a Fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus  (ICPAC) and a member of the Cyprus Human Resource Management Association (CyHRMA).

In his first statement following his election, Soseilos thanked the partners of PwC Cyprus for entrusting him with such an important role and expressed his readiness to work tirelessly with consistency and dedication.

“Through passion and collaboration, PwC Cyprus will continue to lead the way, investing in innovation and providing high quality services and solutions to our clients,” he stated. “In alignment with PwC’s new global strategy ‘The New Equation’, our goal is to help our clients build trust and deliver sustained outcomes.”

For his part, outgoing CEO Evgeniou congratulated Soseilos on his election, and expressed his gratitude to all organisation personnel for the passion and commitment demonstrated over the past 10 years, while he was at the helm.

Evgeniou emphasised that “during a challenging period for the Cyprus economy, PwC Cyprus managed to enhance its leading position and, at the same time, strengthen its relationship of trust with clients and society.

“I’m proud of our collective achievements and especially proud of the fact that PwC is an organisation ready and fit for the future,” he added.
