A Limassol primary school will close until the end of the week after a cluster of Covid cases was discovered, officials confirmed on Tuesday.

Limassol school board president Dinos Ellinas told the Cyprus News Agency that the school in question is the Primary School of Ayios Panteleimonas.

Ellinas said that 26 positive cases have been detected at the school lately, of whom 23 are pupils, two teachers and one assistant.

Parents have been notified that the school will remain closed until Friday, when new instructions will be issued.

In the meantime, classrooms and common areas were disinfected on Tuesday afternoon, Ellinas added.
