Annual Photomarathon challenges photo enthusiasts to put their skills to the test

cyprus fotomarathon

The 7th Cyprus Fotomarathon is all about uniting shutterbugs to capture Paphos through their own camera or smartphone lens.

Taking place at Kennedy Square in Paphos on Saturday from 10am, the photomarathon is a four-hour creative race in which participants are required to take photos on set themes that depict the rhythm of everyday life in Paphos while walking around the town.

Organised by the Paphos Branch of the Cyprus Photographic Society –as part of the ‘Months of Photography Paphos’ programme – the contest encourages people to look at Paphos town from a different perspective, as they compete for a place among six finalists in each of the various categories.

The event is open to the public of all age groups, including amateur and professional photographers, and entrance is free.

Winners of each category will receive an honorary diploma at an event to be held in November 2021. Members of the judging panel include visual artist Rinos Stefani and photographers Andreas Droussiotis and Eirini Bournou.
