Sonica introduces itself with concerts around the island

sonica

Time for some fresh sounds and music! A brand-new band is eager to share its tunes with a series of live performances this June in Larnaca, Nicosia and Limassol. Sonica, led by Christos Yerolatsitis, is a fusion of nu-jazz, ambient, electronica and funk that now invites guests to its first-ever performances and live album presentation concerts.

Yerolatsitis on keyboards and electronics, Andreas Panteli on keyboards, Andreas Rodosthenous on bass and Stelios Xydias on drums will first take the stage in Nicosia at Theatro Dentro for a concert on June 3. On the following evening they will perform at Theatro Ena, LImassol before their final gig in Larnaca. On June 5, the popular bar and music venue Savino Live will wrap up the band’s inaugural performances. Analog synthesizers, sub-bass frequencies and intense rhythms are what define Sonica’s sound.

For the Friday and Saturday gigs, doors will open at 9pm and the music will begin at 9.45pm. After-parties will follow with sets by select local DJs. On Sunday, doors will open early at Savino, at 8pm and the show will begin 45 minutes later offering a taste of this newly-formed band.
