ISFFC kicks off on Saturday

It’s movie time in Limassol! After two years of restrictions on the number of spectators and guests, the International Short Film Festival of Cyprus welcomes its twelfth edition with optimism and dynamism. The festival week begins on Saturday at Rialto Theatre with an opening ceremony that will include an audio-visual spectacle, especially created for the festival by the electronic music composer and digital artist Pandelis Diamantides.

Following the opening ceremony, the competition screenings will commence, with films by Cypriot and international filmmakers. Eight short films will be presented on Saturday lasting from 5 minutes to 16. They are La Saboteur, Airhostess, I c, Mammarranca, A Night of Riots, Benztown, Canker and Ice Merchants.

Another 50-something short films will be screening throughout the festival, giving the audience the opportunity to watch exciting short films from around the world. Alongside the screenings, five original thematic events will be presented taking place in the evenings until the festival wraps up on October 14.
