Police arrest man under suspicion of human trafficking

A 21-year-old man was arrested on Thursday, under suspicion of aiding in human trafficking in Cyprus, police said.

After receiving an anonymous tip, the police raided the suspect’s apartment and vehicle. Upon inspection of the vehicle, police collected evidence including travel documents.

The man was arrested and placed in custody.

Nicosia police are continuing their investigations.
