The interior ministry has reminded the public that the last day they can register to vote is December 27, about a month before the 2023 presidential elections.

Eligible to vote are people over the age of 18, with a permanent residence in Cyprus who have registered to cast their vote in the elections, the ministry said. Those who will turn 18 by the election date on February 5, can also register.

Adults up to the age of 25 can submit their application online at www.elections.gov.cy. The rest can fill out a form at district offices, citizens’ service points or post offices.

The deadline for all is December 27.

For voters abroad, election centres will be organised if more than 50 eligible voters submit an application form. The form can be obtained from embassies abroad or in Cyprus at district offices, citizens service points or post offices. They can be submitted on the spot or at aps.elections.moi.gov.cy.

Cyprus’ presidential elections will be held on February 5 next year.
