Balkan sounds, moving compositions and energetic melodies will fill a Limassol live music venue as the world-renowned musician Goran Bregovic travels to Cyprus for another concert in February.

The last time he was on the island was a few years back when Paphos was named the European Capital of Culture in 2017. Against the backdrop of Aphrodite’s Rock, he presented a colourful performance featuring brass instruments, traditional Bulgarian polyphonies, and traditional percussion and string instruments.

This February 8, he will take the stage of Monte Caputo in Limassol and transform it into a ground of high-paced and dreamy music. Accompanied by his Wedding and Funeral Band, Bregovic will allow the audience of Cyprus to enjoy a unique spectacle, a kind of highlight for the island’s cultural life.

Honouring his Croatian, Serbian and Bosnia and Herzegovinian roots, February’s concert will be held under the auspices of the Embassy of Serbia. Doors to the event will open from 7pm and an hour later the opening act will take the stage to warm up the audience before Goran Bregovic and his orchestra bring their unique Balkan-and-Mediterranean-infused sound.
