A themed live music event at an old Nicosia bar will put young local musicians in the spotlight. Mikri Arktos bar in the old town organises the Day of Young Cypriot Creators on May 27, welcoming to its stage nine local artists. An evening of back-to-back performances will take place as the event unfolds from 5pm to midnight.

Besides live music performances, participating artists will also share feelings and thoughts with the audience on creation and composition based on their experiences and expertise. The evening will begin at 5pm with Kyriakos Costa, Maria Voultsopoulou and Alexandros Komodromos who will perform for an hour. At 6.30pm, ΣaiΣ and Christodoulos Christodoulou will perform before a discussion event takes place.

Between 8pm and 9pm, the talk Creation and Expression will take place where the public will be able to converse with the artists, moderated by Vasilis Philippou. The evening will continue with another show as Philippou, Odysseas Toumazou and Marios Menelaou take the floor. Ending the night with an 11pm performance is Andreas Moiseos and Kyriakos Costa. All of the concerts are free to attend as the event is sponsored by the Cyprus Youth Council.

A few days earlier another themed music event will take place at Mikri Arktos. On Tuesday, Freideriki Tombazou and Katerina Paraschou present a repertoire dedicated to the women who left their mark in contemporary art and creation in Greece. Accompanied by Marinos Georgiades on electric guitar and Rafaellos Agapiou on piano, the two vocalists will perform songs and poems from various decades honouring Lina Nikolakopoulou, Eftihia Papagiannopoulou, Haris Alexiou, Demetra Galani, Arleta, Eleni Fotaki and Katerina Gogou among others.
