An upcoming music performance at Technopolis20 in Paphos has a nocturne portrait perspective. Five talented musicians will present the Nocturna musical performance on June 17 at 8.30pm where the audience is set upon to question their existence between light and darkness.

“The night,” say organisers, “as seen in everyone’s space and time of personal thought, is set as the example for the presentation of a repertoire consisting of works from the local and the international music scene. As a result, the repertoire creates an unexpected nostalgic and dreamy mood, but at the same time, it shows the brutal image of reality and many social injustices that remain unlighted.”

Embodying this on stage will be five musicians. On vocals will be Maria Voultsopoulou while Kyriakos Costa plays the piano, Alexandros Komodromou strums the electric guitar, Giannis Koudounas blows the trumpet and Petros Kkallis gives the beat on percussions. Together the musicians will present works by Hadjidakis, Theodorakis, Alexia, Aurora and Agnes Obel among others. The repertoire will also include examples of traditional idioms from Greece and Cyprus which will round up a special evening of music.
