Ten passengers were rescued after a UK-flagged vessel ran aground in shallow waters in the Agia Napa sea area on Sunday afternoon.

The Joint Rescue Coordination Centre received information about the UK-flagged vessel REBECCA at 4.25pm.

Vessels of the Port and Maritime Police and the Ayia Napa Marina went to the spot, as well as volunteers with Jet skis who managed to transport all the passengers safely to the shore.
