Turkish Vice President to visit north on Sunday

The new Vice President of Turkey Cevdet Yilmaz, will make a one-day visit to the north on Sunday.

Turkey’s Vice-Presidential office announced that Yilmaz will visit memorials to Cyprus’s founding Vice President Dr Fazil Kucuk and former Turkish Cypriot leader Rauf Denktash.

Additionally, he is set to meet with Turkish Cypriot leader Ersin Tatar, ‘Prime Minister’ Unal Ustel, and ‘Parliamentary Speaker’ Zorlu Tore.

He will also attend a meeting regarding the planned electric cable link between Turkey and the north and make a site visit to northern Nicosia’s new ring road.
