So much is happening these days, it is at times challenging to keep up. If it is some weekend entertainment and fun you are after, fear not. Plenty is happening all around the island.

In Nicosia, the Fengaros High 2023 event will take place on Saturday, presenting a new generation of musicians, composers and songwriters from Cyprus. Following an open call and a series of auditions six acts were chosen to present their original music on the Fengaros High stage: Alexa Michael, Anastasia Williams, Christos Metaxas, Mikrodyssea, Nilium and Puzzled. The music will begin at 6.30pm at the Dali Amphitheatre as the event follows in the footsteps of the Fengaros Festival style.

Something different will happen in old Nicosia through the morning of Saturday as the Severis CVAR Foundation and the Cyprus Peace and Dialogue Center organise a bi-communal treasure hunt in the northern and southern parts of the city. Old and young can gather at the end of Ledra Street at 10am to compete in a treasure hunt that will take them across the old historical centre. The winners will win a ticket to Chania, Crete, lunch at Hamur Restaurant or Haci-nin Yeri restaurant. To register online visit www.cvar.severis.org/…/bi-communal-treasure-hunt/

In Paphos, the latest edition of the Paphos International Film Festival will be held in the garden of Technopolis 20 this weekend. From Friday to Sunday, the eighth edition will present a rich programme of open-air screenings consisting of 21 amazing short films and documentaries from around the world. Screenings begin at 8.45pm with subtitles in English and the entrance is free of charge.

In Larnaca, more specifically in Pervolia, Kahuna Surfhouse will host one more pop-up market and live music day on Sunday. From 11am onwards, the market will open hosting 14 pop-ups and local brands who will display and sell their creations until 5pm. Throughout the day, the bar and the food stalls will serve tasty treats and meals while in the afternoon a sunset concert with Rumba Attack will take place. From 6.30pm to 8pm, the local trio will take the floor to play their uplifting flamenco-rumba-and Latin music to close off the week.
