When one thinks of Cypriot mountain villages, images of waterfalls, coffee shops and local handicrafts come to mind. Family excursions, traditional music and Cypriot hospitality help paint the picture and while that is all true, an event coming to Kalopanayiotis village soon will paint a completely different picture.
On Saturday, the Orkontas Family Restaurant will host the latest edition of Agrino Festival, a one-day music gathering that will feature ten musicians and musical ensembles. “Let’s rock n roll up in the mountains and support our local musicians in this unforgettable music festival,” say organisers.
The party will begin at midday and last until midnight. Performing in this edition is a wide selection of acts that includes ΚROKES, Michalis Terlikkas Kypraia Foni, Ariones Choir Limassol, RUSTX, Idaion Project, Dragonbreath, Uncle Philth, Dringki Drang, Leave The Wave and Heatwave DJ who will wrap things up at the closing party.
Previous editions welcomed up to 500 guests who all partied together under the trees. Old, young, families, metalheads and folk music lovers all joined in the celebration of music. This year, Agrino Festival aims to bring the same welcoming atmosphere with even more music acts.
