A 50-year-old man was found dead in his car at the junction of Pyrgos and Kornos road early on Wednesday.
The man was identified as Stavros Stavrou, a resident of Lymbia.
Police said his death was likely attributed to natural causes.
Around 6.30am, passing drivers spotted him dead in the driver’s seat of his saloon car after the Pyrgos-Kornos intersection towards Kornos.
According to the information provided so far, it appears that while Stavrou was heading towards the Larnaca village, he veered off his course to the right and collided with a fence. This caused minor damage to the front of the vehicle.
However, examinations at the scene and on the body showed that his death may not be the result of an accident but rather due to natural causes.
