As another yellow weather warning was issued for Sunday, the Met Office said temperatures inland would reach 41C.

The weather warning is in place from 12 noon until 4pm.

After cloud on the south and west coast has cleared, the day is expected to remain clear.

Inland the high will be around 41C while on the west coast the temperature will reach 32C and 35C on the other coasts. In the mountains a high of 33C is forecast.

A red alert has been issued for the outbreak of fires.

Temperatures will show a small drop on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday but remain above the average level for the time of year.
