The Avakas Gorge has been closed, due to increased risks caused by the weather conditions.

“Due to increased water flow, slippery ground, and the risk of falling rocks and debris, the ‘Avakas Gorge’ in the Akamas national forest park will remain closed from today until the risk has passed for visitors,” the forestry department announced.

The forestry department apologises for any inconvenience to the public. They will make an announcement when it is reopened.
