Cold weather front Coral continues to move in on Friday with temperatures dropping sharply. The day will be cloudy with isolated rains, and snow is expected in the mountains as well as some semi-mountainous areas. Temperatures will rise to 10C inland, 12C on the coast, and 1C in the mountains where frost will form. Winds will be north-easterly to easterly, weak to moderate, up to 4 Beaufort, and in the west, north-westerly of the same intensity. The sea will be rough.
Overnight will continue partly cloudy with a chance of rain on the coast, while further snowfall and frosty conditions are expected in mountainous and semi-mountainous regions. The temperature will plummet to 2C inland, 5C on the coast, and -4C at the highest elevations. Winds will continue mainly north-easterly to easterly, weak to moderate, up to 4 Beaufort, and on the windward coast to strong, up to 5 Beaufort. The sea will be rough.
The weekend is forecast to be exceptionally cold and intermittently cloudy, with continuing localised rains and snowfall in the mountains and foothills.
On Sunday light snowfall in the lowland areas in not ruled out. For Monday, localised cloud cover may bring coastal showers in the morning hours with temperatures remaining well below seasonal norms.
