A dead body was found on a roof in Engomi at around 2pm on Wednesday and investigations are underway to determine the cause of death.

Police said the dead person was a young man. The scene has been cordoned off and police officers and coroners are investigating.

Police were sparing in their official update on the incident: ‘Regarding the discovery of the dead man in Nicosia, the circumstances of his death are being investigated pending a post-mortem examination to be carried out at a later stage’.

Police have not ruled out a scenario for the dead man found on the roof of a building in Engomi. However, information indicate that for the time being it does not seem to be considering the possibility of criminal activity.
