It has been a while since we heard of a concert as part of the Music in the Mountains series which brings live music events to rural mountainous villages. But it seems that the time has come. Just before May ends – and the summer high temperature’s take over – one more concert is on its way. This time, it is being hosted by the Jardin Art Café in Vouni in the Limassol district.
With the title Ten Strings, the intimate concert will feature guitar and vocalist Kevin Abraham and violinist Clare Hurrell who will perform a unique acoustic approach to familiar and not so familiar golden oldies, and a selection of Abraham’s own songs.
On May 30, the Art Café will fill with music lovers and musicians as they gather to listen to charming melodies and witness Abraham’s impressive finger-picking technique and signature vocal style. Accompanying him to enrich the programme, is Hurrell, a classically trained violinist from the UK who now calls Cyprus her home. A music and yoga teacher, she has performed extensively on the island, forming a duo with Abraham as the Ten Strings.
