Two minors are in serious condition in Limassol following a road accident on Monday evening.
The 15-year-old boy and 14-year-old girl were riding an electric scooter on Georgiou A’ Avenue at around 7.20pm. The boy, who was driving the scooter, lost control for reasons still under investigation. Both teenagers fell to the ground and sustained injuries.
The boy was taken to Limassol general hospital, where doctors found he had a subarachnoid haemorrhage. He remains in hospital for treatment. The girl was admitted to a private hospital in Limassol with a traumatic brain injury and a fractured skull. She is also being treated in serious condition.
Limassol traffic police are investigating the cause of the collision.
