The Athenian band Hermaphrodite’s Child returns to the island after popular demand, filling February’s evenings with more groovy music from past decades. Here’s when to catch them in Nicosia and Larnaca.
“Remember the 50s-60s band that blew your socks off a couple of months ago? They’re back in Cyprus for two more shows and this time you don’t want to miss them,” say organisers.
Taking Cyprus listeners on a journey through the golden era of sound, Hermaphrodite’s Child is about to turn two music venues into rock parties. The historical Antonakis Music Hall is set to host them first on February 14 while Savino Live in Larnaca welcomes the band on February 15.
On stage, Vasilis Tzelepis on guitar, Dimitris Tzelepis on bass, Yannis Voulgaris on drums and Dimitris Amarantos on keys will present a fun-infused setlist playing tunes from The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Elvis Presley, The Beach Boys, The Kinks, Roy Orbison, Chuck Berry, as well as Greek artists Paschalis and Olympians, The Charms and Mimis Plessas.
All four band members will uplift the crowds with their vocals and energetic music, bringing back to the dancefloor the infectious spirit of the 50s and 60s, “Bring your dancing shoes,” conclude organisers.
