A vehicle parked in a field on the Avgorou-Frenaros road was extensively damaged by fire early on Friday morning.

The fire service received a call at 6.55am and sent two fire engines from Famagusta fire station to the scene.

Firefighters brought the blaze under control at 7.26am.

The vehicle suffered extensive damage from the flames and heat.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the fire.
