A 77-year-old man was seriously injured in an accident in Paphos on Wednesday.

According to the police, at around 6.30pm as the man was driving his vehicle along Vasileos Stasikou Avenue when he lost control of his car and crashed into the wall of a house before coming to a standstill.

The 77-year-old was initially brought to Polis Chrysochous hospital and was later transferred to Paphos general hospital due to the severity of his condition, where he underwent surgery.

His health condition is considered serious.

Investigations into the exact circumstances of the accident are ongoing.
