Paper-cutting fun: how to make a ‘kirigami’ flower

Hey kids, if you’ve been following the videos we post here, you already know that you can make many cool things from paper. So, here is a new project for you along those lines… in this video you’re going to learn how to make a kirigami flower.

Yes, you heard that right.

You’ve heard of ‘origami’. That breaks down to ‘ori’ (folding) and ‘gami’ (paper), which is the Japanese art of paper folding. But ‘kirigami’ is a little different, as ‘kiri’ (cutting) involves paper cutting.

(But it’s just as fun, we promise.)

All you’ll need is a piece of paper around 15cm x 15cm, a marker and a pair of scissors… and to follow along!
