Here at Good Living, we like to mark the end of the working week with a TGIF recipe… A little note of indulgence with which to treat yourself over the weekend, hopefully catching your breath as you cook, bake or mix something that’s a tiny celebration.

In this video, John Kanell of the YouTube channel Preppy Kitchen shows us how to make that classic Iberian sweet treat – churros.

A churro is a type of fried dough from Spanish and Portuguese cuisine, normally eaten for breakfast, dipped in ‘champurrado’, hot chocolate, dulce de leche or café con leche. Cinnamon sugar is often sprinkled on top.

If you’ve never had them before, you’re in for a treat. And if you’re already a fan, we hope you’re revving to give this recipe a go… it’s definitely a winner for that weekend window of kitchen indulgence!
