Telecommunications and subscription TV provider PrimeTel announced on Thursday that it will exclusively broadcast the 47th edition of the Copa America on its channels from June 14-July 11
“Our customers will have the opportunity of enjoying the oldest international football competition on the planet, it will be a celebration of Latin football,” a statement released by the company said.
“After a difficult year for everybody, the Copa America will finally provide us with strong emotions, aggressive football, and, above all, passion.
“Some of the best players will feature in the competition. From Argentina’s Messi and Aguero, to Brazil’s Neymar and Firmino, to Uruguay’s Cavani and Suarez, everyone will fight to get their hands on the coveted trophy,” the statement said.
The tournament will take place in Brazil. It was originally scheduled to take place in June and July 2020, but on March 17 last year Conmebol, football’s governing body in South America, announced that due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the tournament had been postponed for a year.
Hosts Brazil are also the defending champions, having won their ninth title in 2019.
