Drivers travelling to Limassol have been urged to use the old road from the Chirokitia junction, due to road works on the Nicosia-Limassol motorway, police said on Thursday.

According to a police announcement issued at 9.40am, road works are causing long queues of traffic near Zygi village.

Police were at the scene to divert the traffic towards the Chirokitia junction.

“Drivers are urged to be especially careful and to drive at low speeds,” the announcement added.
