Police on Friday said they are looking for two passengers and the driver of a car that hit a motorcyclist the previous night in Limassol and abandoned the scene of the accident.
The wanted people were seen in a 2004 blue Peugeot 307 on Nikou Pattichi avenue around 9.30pm on Thursday.
According to eyewitness statements, the driver of the car hit the 40-year-old motorcyclist as they were turning right onto Makedonias street.
The driver of the car allegedly stopped at first, but soon after abandoned the scene.
A police spokeswoman told the Cyprus Mail early on Friday that they have identified the owner of the car but have not yet proceeded to an arrest.
The identification was made possible through the license plate number, which fell from the car during the accident and was left at the scene.
The owner of the car is a 43-year-old man, who is wanted in relation to the hit-and-run.
Police said the car appears to have been driven by two different people during the accident, according to eyewitness statements.
The 40-year-old injured rider is being treated at the Limassol general hospital with a serious injury to his right leg.
His condition is described as stable.
