Three deaths from Covid-19 and 389 new positive cases were announced on Sunday by the health ministry.
The deaths were two men aged 83 and 93 and a woman, 71. So far 441people have died from Covid-19: 288 men and 153 women with an average age of 77,1 years.
There are 286 patients with Covid-19 in hospital. Of these, 96 are in serious condition, including 54 who are intubated.
The new cases were among 35,196 PCR and rapid tests with a positivity rate of 1.11 per cent.
Nine were among passengers at the Larnaca and Paphos ariports.
Four were detected during contact tracing, 77 are people who got PCR tests privately, 135 are people who got rapid tests privately, and eight are among samples processed in state hospitals’ labs.
Another 156 cases were detected during the rapid tests carried out in all districts on behalf of the health ministry. Four of these were detected in the National Guard and 34 in closed structures. Two cases were found in nursing homes in Larnaca. In addition, 40 positive cases were detected in Nicosia out of 5,597 tests, 36 in Limassol (3,521), 21 in Larnaca (1,744), 10 in Paphos (1,910) and nine in the Famagusta district (1,301).
So far 105,982 cases have been recorded.
