Pfizer anti-coronavirus vaccines for the vaccination of children aged 5 to 11 are expected to arrive by December 20, the permanent secretary of the health ministry Christina Yiannaki said on Monday.

The administration of vaccines to children under the age of 12 will start at walk-in centres and then mobile units will be sent to schools.

She added that 81 per cent of the population are fully vaccinated while 107,387 people have received the booster dose so far.

“People have realised that they must get vaccinated, and the measures have nothing to do with it…because vaccination is the only way,” she said.
