Larnaca municipality will be setting up a food distribution center for Easter for beneficiaries of the Social Grocery card on Good Friday, April 22 between 8.00 and 9.30am at the municipality’s Social Grocery, it said on Tuesday.

Giorgos Gerasimou, the officer responsible for the Social Grocery said that “the Easter pack is generous and includes foodstuff and other essentials and will be handed to 80 families who have been approved and are holders of the Social Grocery’s card.”

Adding that there had been difficulties in finding various produce such as vegetables, fruits and meat due to the recent weather conditions and the increase in prices.

Gerasimou expressed his gratitude “to the volunteers and to all who those who offer to and support Larnaca municipality’s social grocery.”
