Man arrested in Larnaca on suspicion of burglary and theft

Police on Tuesday arrested a 41-year-old man in Larnaca for possession of burglary tools and illegal property.

According to a police statement, while conducting checks officers of the Larnaca CID signaled a driver to stop shortly before 1am. The driver initially continued on his way before eventually stopping near the Famagusta Stadium roundabout.

In the subsequent check the driver was identified as a 41-year-old, transporting various burglary tools as well as other belongings, for which he did not have adequate explanation.

The man was arrested on suspicion of illegal possession of property and burglary tools and was taken into custody to facilitate investigations.
