Nicosia music fans, the city has a lot planned for you this December!

On December 8, Alexis Sunder will bring his head-bobbing grooves, introspective lyrics and sunny melodies to New Division for the first time. Along with his live band, Sunder offers a groove-driven energetic set that blends funk, soul and pop-rock and offers modern impressions on strong retro vibes. He is supported by his steady collaborators Fragkiskos Petrides on drums, Andreas Papageorgiou on bass and Andreas Epaminonda on lead guitar.

Then, on December 11 the Allusion duo will perform a jazzy set with influences from other genres such as funk, soul, blues, and free jazz. Improvisation and spontaneity are some of the main characteristics of the band as well as exploration and creativity. During their set at the bar, Antreas Yerolatsitis and Omiros Miltiadous will also perform original compositions.

Concluding the month’s live music nights is an acoustic set by Myrto and Andreas who will perform on December 15.

In between the gigs, more than a dozen local DJs will take over the DJ booth at New Division to play groovy, upbeat tracks from all music genres. From bluesy tunes to psychedelic, world music, 80s hits and new sounds, New Division seems to be a lively party place this December wrapping up the year with a party that begins at 12.30am on December 31 with DJ Vassilis Palamas playing until the early hours.
