Police are still searching for four icons that were stolen from a chapel in Tremithousa on December 16.

According to a police statement, perpetrators broke into the Prophet Elias chapel in the village outside Paphos looking for a safe. After not finding it, they then stole the icons.

The items have a combined value of €1,000. Police officers are examining evidence collected on the scene to identify the burglars.
