On Sunday, May 27, Accept – LGBTI Cyprus is organising the march inviting the community, friends and allies to walk proudly. “On Sunday May 27, at 5.30pm,” says Accept – LGBTI Cyprus, “we walk together in the Cyprus Pride 2023, because we know that together, with solidarity and respect, we can triumph, we can claim the right to live inclusively, for equal rights for all LGBTQ+ people, but also for the right of every person to live and express themselves freely, we walk together for equality, for love for all!” The starting and finishing point will again be the Nicosia Municipal Garden, where a festival will take place.

“In light of recent homophobic and transphobic attacks,” they add, “as well as increased online abuse on social media, the aim of this year’s Cyprus Pride 2023 is to encourage unity, cooperation and solidarity in the fight against homophobia, transphobia, online abuse, heterosexism and cis-sexism, aspiring to inspire the LGBTQ+ community, its friends and allies, civil society, change agents as well as the wider society to stand together, united to transform our society, and Cyprus, into an inclusive environment, for a state based on the values of equality, equity and egalitarianism.”
