Invest Cyprus, the investment promotion agency of Cyprus, is focused on identifying and resolving the challenges faced by investors operating in Cyprus, in order to bolster efforts in transforming the country into a thriving business centre, according to Invest Cyprus president Eugenios Eugeniou.
Eugeniou made these remarks during a recent roundtable discussion with foreign investors who have made direct foreign investments or relocated their headquarters to Cyprus.
The event, titled “Foreign Investors Roundtable with the President and Government of Cyprus,” was organised by Invest Cyprus in collaboration with the government and attended by more than 20 foreign investors and companies representing various key sectors of the economy.
These sectors include technology (ICT), financial services, real estate and construction, the broader services sector, education, shipping, as well as retail and wholesale trade.
According to an announcement by Invest Cyprus released on Friday, the discussion was highly constructive, and Eugeniou stressed that it is the agency’s role to facilitate foreign investments and consider the recommendations of investors for further improvements in the investment environment, aiming for economic growth and job creation.
Invest Cyprus announced that in the coming months, a follow-up discussion will be organised where the government will update investors on the actions taken to address their concerns.
