A day full of art, creativity and sustainability is coming to Nicosia as YEU Cyprus and ESC organise an arts & crafts bazaar at the Home for Cooperation. On November 4, the H4C will fill with art stalls as local creatives showcase their crafts, made using viable and green materials. While the bazaar is on from 10am to 6pm, a series of parallel events and workshops will take place engaging young and old in creative and green activities.

Visitors will be able to join the Garland of Peace session which will run from 10am to 5pm, creating a garland with tassels, made to support bi-communal peace, where participants can keep the tassel they make as a memento or leave it at The Home Café as a symbol of unity. Between 10am and 12pm, a kid’s corner will present eco-friendly craft games. Led by YEU Cyprus, children will learn to make craft figurines and frames using reusable, green materials.

The craft sessions will not be just for children though. A crafty session for adults will take place at 3pm, transforming old tote bags. Participants are to bring their tote bag and learn ways to upcycle it. Participation in these workshops is free, yet registration is necessary. The form can be found in the Facebook event Sustainability Arts & Crafts Bazaar.

The last event of the day will be a Treasure Hunt with an aim to unlock sustainable goals. This will take place at 4pm while the art bazaar is still on and the café serves hot food and drink.
