Limassol police on Wednesday arrested two more suspects, in relation to the violence by hooligans that took place last week in Limassol.

The incident involving over one hundred hooded and masked men attacking each other with rocks, firebombs, and teargas and resulting in at least one serious injury, as well as material damages, started outside the clubhouse of one team.

Police announced they have arrested two suspects, aged 44 and 31, who were taken into custody to facilitate investigations, bringing the total number of those arrested up to three.

A 22-year-old man was already arrested for the same case and is in custody.

Meanwhile on Tuesday, police called again for the closure of certain football fan clubs in Limassol seen as incubators for hooliganism.
