A 52-year-old man was found dead on the streets of Limassol on Christmas, police said on Thursday.
Members of the public saw him unconscious at the Enaerios area shortly after 9pm on Wednesday and alerted authorities. The 52-year-old Georgian national was found to be living in Cyprus illegally.
Police have ruled out criminal activity and obtained testimony that the man had consumed a large quantity of alcohol.
He was transferred to Limassol general hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The exact cause of death will be determined in an autopsy set to be carried out. Police did not specify when the autopsy would take place but said investigations continue.
