Two people arrested in connection with an attempted murder in Kornos were remanded in police custody for eight days on Tuesday by Larnaca district court.
The suspects, aged 25 and 24, were arrested on Monday as investigations continue into the January 9 attempted murder of a 30-year-old in Kornos.
Another 24-year-old man was arrested on January 25 in a Nicosia village in connection with the same case.
He was taken before Larnaca district court on Sunday and remanded for eight days.
Multiple shots were fired in an outdoor area in the village on January 9 with the 30-year-old being hospitalised after the incident, and having briefly been in a critical condition.
The police currently believe that at around 2pm on the day in question, the 30-year-old visited an area in the village with the aim of meeting people over the sale of a car.
There, he was approached by a vehicle, with four men, two of whom were allegedly armed with pistols, getting out.
The 30-year-old attempted to escape, but was shot several times, suffering injuries to his hand and shoulder blade.
