This year’s plan to subsidise holidays for people with disabilities was announced on Friday by the department for the social integration of the disabled.

The scheme was approved by the cabinet in May 2022 and this year covers vacations up to the end of the year.

Those eligible can apply from April 2 till June 30 or until the budget has been exhausted.

Priority will be given to those applying for the first time or who had not benefited from the scheme during the three previous years.

Applicants will have to make sure that the hotel or their choice is approved by the deputy ministry for tourism.
