The Cult & B-Movies Festival will make its 2026 comeback next month. A two-day exploration of these films that have gained an audience and timeless value will be presented in Limassol. Mark your calendars for February 7 and 8.

The series of screenings will be hosted at the Polychoros Synergeio, creating the ideal setting for an experience dedicated to the alternative, the unorthodox and the cinematically bold. The festival is organised by Brave New Media and Cyprus Cult Cinephiles, in collaboration with the Limassol Film Club and the CyFi Festival, with the aim of highlighting and re-evaluating films that move outside the established cinematic rules.

The agenda will kick off with Jacques Tati’s Playtime, a 1967 film which will open the festival on February 7 at 6pm. Then director Andreas Papakyriakou, who will be present at the screening, will present his film Leo Brasina at 8.30pm. After the films, a DJ party will follow to close off the first night.

The second evening will begin at 7pm with Selected Cult Length Films, in collaboration with the CyFi Fest, the first Cypriot Fantastic Film Festival, under the curation of Andreas Kyriakou. Then The Detached House by Ioakim Mylona will be screened, in the presence of the director at 8.30pm. This film will also be screened at the CyFi Fantasy Festival at Nicosia’s Pantheon Cinema on February 20, 21 and 22.
