A 23-year-old who had been wanted in connection with an attempted murder in Kato Polemidia on Tuesday turned himself in on Thursday morning and was subsequently arrested.

He will be taken before a court later on Thursday for a remand order.

The police had secured an arrest warrant against the man on Wednesday.

On Tuesday, the Limassol general hospital informed the police that a 23-year-old had been taken by ambulance to the hospital and was being operated on for abdominal wounds caused by stabbing.

According to doctors, the man is out of danger and is recovering in hospital.
