Less than a year after ‘Glee’ star Naya Rivera’s devastating death, her former cast members are set to reunite and honour their late co-star in a special way at the upcoming 2021 GLAAD Media Awards.

Rivera tragically drowned last July in an accident while boating with her son Josey, then aged four, on a California lake.

The tribute will honour the 10-year anniversary of Rivera’s character, Santana Lopez, coming out as a lesbian, and highlight the character’s impact on LGBTQ representation in the media.

The annual GLAAD Media Awards honour media for fair, accurate and inclusive representations of LGBTQ people and issues.
