The Nicosia District Court on Wednesday issued an injunction suspending the operation of a restaurant in the capital until May 12, when a case for violating the measures against the coronavirus pandemic will be heard.
According to a police statement, the investigation of the case began on April 18, after witnesses came forward and reported that the owners of the restaurant violated regulations and decrees issued under the Infectious Diseases Law.
Specifically, two people were reported and a criminal case was filed against a 60-year-old, the owner of the restaurant, and a 42-year-old, the manager of the establishment.
The two posted bail for €3,000 and the restaurant will remain closed until the day of the hearing.
