A supermarket was fined €4,000 because customers were not being kept further enough apart and a restaurant was fined €650 as for the second time it was found not checking that customers had a SafePass as police said they fined 30 individuals and two businesses for violating coronavirus measures in the 24 hours running up to 6am on Monday.
In Nicosia a total of 1,579 checks were carried out and 11 people were charged. In Limassol 241 checks saw 10 people and two businesses fined.
In Larnaca 477 checks were carried out and three people were charged, while in Paphos 215 checks were carried out and a further three people fined. In Famagusta 241 checks were carried out and again three people were charged.
